2005 - 2006

  • Moved the Add/Drop process online
  • Redesigned the Housing Lottery System to a system of reciprocity
  • Created an Internship Stipend Fund for students pursuing summer internships in the public sector
  • Launched the “Community Connections Campaign” to help bridge the gap between students and neighbors
  • Met with members of the Somerville Board of Aldermen, the Medford City Council, and both police departments to brainstorm ideas for future years
  • Installed wireless internet on the President’s Lawn and the Academic Quad to encourage new arenas for shared learning
  • Unveiled a GPS tracker on the campus shuttle bus to Davis Square
  • Honored Mr. James Dimon, LA’78, CEO JP Morgan Chase, with the 2006 Light on the Hill Award
  • Expanded Tuftsreviews.com to incorporate reviews of off-campus houses and landlords
  • Passed resolution providing a mechanism to use a percentage of the surplus of the Student Activities Fee to universal projects that better student life
  • Redesigned the Student ID card with the incorporation of combined vending and laundry points

2004 - 2005

  • Launched the Gavel Society with a dinner reception on the Hill for former TCU Presidents
  • Initiated the Student Life Fund, a central cosponsorship pool from various Administrative Offices to help fund alcohol-free events on campus
  • Organized the first-ever TCU Scavenger Hunt
  • Honored Nick Birnback, LA’92, Media Affairs Officer for U.N. Peacekeeping Operations, with the 2004 Light on the Hill Award
  • Successfully pushed the faculty to submit bookstore booklists earlier in the semester directly lowering the price for textbooks
  • Composed new guidelines for the sanctioning of Fraternities and Sororities

2003 – 2004

  • Held the first-annual Culture Festival to help celebrate diversity on campus
  • Started the Boston Bus Shuttle, to transport students to and from downtown Boston every Friday and Saturday night from 9pm-3am
  • Coordinated the first-annual Fall Ball, a school-wide semi-formal, that drew over 3,500 attendees
  • Organized the “Nighttime Quad Reception” to safely coordinate with another treasured Tufts tradition
  • Instituted the Progress Tracker to increase Senators’ visibility by posting Senate projects online
  • Worked to redesign www.tufts.edu
